The Menorca Brass Brass Course is focused on elementary and professional grade students of trumpet, horn and trombone.
The MB Brass Course Modality teachers are musicians with a high level and experience. This course is focused on elementary grade and professional grade students, a good chance to get some experience from the best music players.
It’s something unique in the Balearic Islands and in whole Spain, and it’s also a great chance to get direct contact and absorb the knowledge of the best musicians of the moment.

The Menorca Brass Brass Course modality will start on July 7th and it will finish on July 11th in the Music and Dance School facilities in es Mercadal.
The Menorca Brass Brass course has one teacher for each instrument (trumpet, horn and trombone). Each teacher is focused and specialized in his own instrument.
Javier Alcaraz – Trumpet course
BIRTHDATE AND PLACE: Torre Pacheco, Murcia, 1987,
Javier Alcaraz is teachear in the Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Alcalá de Henares (Madrid). Previously, he was an associated teacher in the Conservatori Superior de Música de les Illes Balears (Mallorca). He has also taught masterclasses at Grand Valley State University (Michigan) and the “System of Choirs and Orchestras” (El Salvador). He is also the organizer of the Alcalá TrumpetFest, a trumpet festival with guest artists from all over the national territory, as well as from abroad.
Throughout his formative years, he has participated in meetings of the JONDE, Mahler Academy, ESMRS Orchestra, OJRM and JOGV. His first trumpet teacher was Jesús Añado. He finished his Professional Degree with Conrado Gastaldo. J. Alcaraz finished his higher studies at the “Joaquín Rodrigo” Conservatory of Music in Valencia with Juan Carlos Alandete and José Ortí as teachers. He has a Master’s Degree in Musical Research from the International University of Valencia.
As an orchestral musician, Javier has performed with the National Orchestra of Spain, the Symphony Orchestra of the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the Madrid Symphony Orchestra, the Navarra Symphony Orchestra, the Euskadi Symphony Orchestra, the Córdoba Orchestra, the Oviedo Philharmonic, the Vallés Symphony Orchestra and Municipal Band of Barcelona. Javier has worked under the baton of Kent Nagano, Daniel Harding, Christoph Eschenbach, Simone Young, Nicola Luisotti, Juanjo Mena and David Afkham, among others; in auditoriums and theaters such as Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, Los Angeles Opera, Tokyo Bunka Kaikan, Palau de la Música Catalana and Gran Teatre del Liceu.
Javier has recently recorded an album with Spanish Original Flugels and Trumpets, featuring all the works for the trumpet ensemble by composer James M. Stephenson. He regularly performs with the Madrid Trumpet Consort, a group based in Madrid that performs Renaissance and Baroque music for trumpet with historical instruments.
Over the last few years he has been tutored by David Elton and David Bilger, as well as Håkan Hardenberger through the Online Grafenegg Academy 2020. Javier has attended masterclasses by Jeroen Berwaerts, Gábor Tarkövi, Omar Tomasoni, Michael Sachs, Joe Burgstaller, Allen Vizzutti and Reinhold Friedrich. He has traveled to the United States and Germany to take lessons with: Guillaume Jehl, Tom Rolfs, Ben Wright, Felix Wilde, Mark Ridenour, Tage Larsen, Mike Myers and John Henes. In Spain, he has received classes or attended courses with Pep Casado, Mireia Farrés, Adán Delgado, Juan Antonio Martínez, Luis González, Manuel Blanco, Roberto Bodí, Rubén Marqués, César Asensi, Carlos Megías, Juan Antonio Soriano, David Llavata, Antonio Martí, Miguel Ángel Torres, Ángel Serrano, Juanjo Serna, Carlos Benetó, Cristian Ibáñez and José Cháfer.

Nadia Giner – Trombone Course
BIRTHDATE AND PLACE: La Pobla Llarga, Valencia, 1996.
He began his musical studies at the age of 6, at the Music School of his town, he studied trombone with Professor Martín Colomer. He joined the Banda de la Unió Musical de la Pobla Llarga in 2006.
In 2008 he entered the Conservatorio Mestre Vert de Carcaixent (Valencia) to study a Professional Degree in Daniel Gimeno’s class, concluding his studies in 2013. This same year he joined the JOGV (Young Orchestra of the Generalitat Valenciana) as a trombonist. .
In 2014 he continued his training at l’ESMUC (Higher School of Music of Catalonia), specialty of Interpretation Classical and Contemporary Music in Trombone, with Professor Daniel Perpignan, finishing the Higher Degree in 2018.
He broadened his training by studying the “Master in Musical Interpretation and Concert” at the HEMU (Heute école de musique de Lausanne, Switzerland) with the prestigious trombonist Jacques Mauger, ending in 2020. He is currently studying a second Master in Pedagogy.
He has reconciled his studies in “L’aula de Trombó” with the prestigious trombonists Indalecio Bonet (member of the Spanish Brass) and Carlos Gil (professor of the “José Iturbi” Valencia Conservatory Professional Degree) from 2010 to 2018.
He has taken advanced courses with various teachers such as: Michel Becquet, Christian Lindberg, Ximo Vicedo, Jörgen van Rijen, Juan Carlos Matamoros, Abbie Connan, Gilles Millière, Alberto Urretxu¸ Toni Belenguer, Vicent Lepape …
During all these years he has collaborated with the OBC (Barcelona and Catalonia Orchestra), the Barcelona Municipal Band, the Spanish Brass Metal Ensemble and the international singer Adele, interpreting different styles of music.
He has performed soloist concerts of which stand out: in 2014 with the Back to Brass Quintet, with the Banda Unió Musical la Pobla Llarga performing Colors by Bert Appermont and Fandango for trombone and trumpet with the prestigious trumpeter Raul Garcia “Chocolate” in 2019. That same year she was invited to the “EMERGENTES” Concerts organized by Spanish Brass at the SBALZ festival to perform a solo recital concert. In 2020 he won the First Prize for Unanimity in the international Bellan competition, trombone category, Paris (France).
